Aida

Aida

Aida
Art of a New Era

Like “Aida”, the greatest expression of Verdi’s talent, which represents a wonderful blend of the tradition of Italian melodrama and innovation through abandoning conventions, so too is the new Aida project a blend of tradition and innovation. A synthesis that expresses beauty

The thirty year tradition of Sonus faber is condensed in this new and extraordinary project. It is our core values that gather the fruits of our labours in the progress made through Amati Futura and Guarneri Evolution. They marked important milestones and are crowned by an even deeper awareness of the roots of Sonus faber

This experience has lead us to enhance the best elements of our traditional approach, such as the knowledgeable use of natural materials for the transducer membranes, regardless of the trends and fashions of the moment, thus reinventing the pillars of our identity.

From the fusion of “tradition” and “technological innovation”
comes the beauty of a new era

Amati

Amati

Amati Futura

The development process began by gathering the best of Amati Homage and Amati Anniversario: an aptitude reflected in the particular attention given to the choice of drivers and the following optimisation of their membrane composition.

The next step was to take advantage of the most recent Sonus faber technology, both in terms of innovative loading systems and in terms of the newest filtering systems, arriving at the implementation of a differential distribution of the low frequencies. The new and original nature of the design architecture forced us to carry out a radical redesigning of the acoustic case that, while it defines itself in its structure and the distribution of volume, it takes advantage of innovative solutions linked to the combination of different materials, thus exalting the proverbial virtue of the violin shape.

The new project confirms and modernises another strong foundation of Sonus faber: a musical instrument lives within an environment and becomes part of it, carrying out the functions of both musical source and furnishing. The design choices, the finishes of the new materials, the enhanced quality of manufacture and the extreme attention to every little detail are equal to the sound output, the exalting of this concept and the testimony of our perennial values are not only firmly rooted in the present but they look towards the future

Amati futura aspires to be an expression of tomorrow. A new standard made possible through the patented technical solutions gathered through the years that have brought us to the creation of our flagship (“the Sonus faber”)

Amati Futura is yet another phenomenal example of our belief

Stradivari

Stradivari

Stradivari Homage
infinite homage

The formal aspect of the Stradivari homage expresses its conceptual origin. It is shaped like two facing lutes: a further development of the construction criterion of Sonus faber loudspeakers.

However, the “soul” of Stradivari is also reminescent of the construction principles of stringed instrument making, because inside it houses a linking element that unites the two walls, just like the joined plates of a violin

The exclusive cabinet features curved walls. The density of the wood employed to make the walls, the quality and the direction of the fibres have been carefully researched to distribute and control resonance

The Homage to Stradivarius further defines the ambition of bringing the identity of the acoustic loudspeaker increasingly closer to that of a musical instrument

The elliptical design for a three-way system is capable of providing a totally different and emotionally exciting response
